Abstract : FMC’s bixlozone herbicide, trademarked ISOFLEX™ active, is a unique selective herbicide developed for use in a wide range of crops. First registered in Australia in 2020, it is currently undergoing the registration process at the European level. ISOFLEX™ active belongs to the isoxazolidinone class of chemistry and is classified by Global HRAC as a Group 13 herbicide due to its inhibition of Deoxy-D-Xylulose Phosphate Synthase (DOXP synthase), which is a component of the carotenoid biosynthetic pathway. ISOFLEX™ active is highly effective on a wide range of grass and broadleaf weeds when applied from pre-emergence to very early growth stages, and demonstrates good selectivity on oilseed rape, cereals, potato and corn.
