Abstract : Isoflex™ active belongs to the isoxazolidinone class of herbicide chemistries and is classified by Global HRAC as a Group 13 herbicide due to its inhibition of Deoxy-D-Xylulose Phosphate Synthase (DOXP synthase), a component of the carotenoid biosynthetic pathway. It will be the first herbicide of this group used on cereals. Early experiments to evaluate the sensitivity of different biotypes of key grasses including Alopecurus myosuroides and Lolium sp. began in 2014. Baseline susceptibility screening in support of Isoflex™ active product launches is on-going. All current results have not shown any differences in susceptibility compared to sensitive populations. In addition, no cross resistances with any other mode of action have been identified to date.
Keywords : Isoflex™ active, resistance, HRAC 13, Alopecurus myosuroides, Lolium sp
