Résumé : Cette étude a pour objet de répondre au contexte de réduction des herbicides et d’évaluer la pertinence technique et économique de leviers alternatifs aux herbicides pour gérer les adventices. Une analyse multicritère a été effectuée avec le logiciel SYSTERRE® sur un système de culture en rotation colza/blé/orge d’hiver. Pour cette rotation, un « itinéraire technique d’aujourd’hui » a été comparé à un « itinéraire technique à 10 ans ». À 10 ans, l’IFT herbicide est réduit dans tous les scenarii, sans toutefois atteindre les objectifs du plan Ecophyto II. En revanche, la marge nette de l’exploitation est inférieure aux systèmes actuels. Avec des hypothèses de rendement à -10 et -20 %, l’impact économique est encore plus important, et certains systèmes n’assureraient plus un revenu convenable à l’agriculteur. Les émissions de gaz à effet de serre et la consommation d’énergie ont également augmenté (ce qui est contraire aux objectifs gouvernementaux). Le temps d’intervention au champ a aussi augmenté. L’outil JDISPO® a été utilisé pour vérifier la faisabilité de certaines interventions. Le nombre de jours disponibles pour mettre en œuvre le désherbage mécanique des céréales à paille au printemps est très réduit. Cette étude permet de caractériser la gestion des adventices avec des leviers alternatifs et apporte des pistes de réflexion.

Abstract : The objective of this study is to answer to the context of reduction of herbicids and to evaluate the technical and economic feasibility of alternative levers of herbicides to control weeds. A multicriteria analysis was carried out with the SYSTERRE® software on one cropping system: rapeseed / wheat / barley. For this rotation, an “itinerary of today” was compared to an “itinerary at 10 years”. At 10 years, the herbicide IFT is reduced in all scenarios but without approaching the objectives of the Ecophyto II plan. On the other hand, the net margin is lower than current systems. With yield assumptions of -10 and -20%, the economic impact is even greater, and some systems would no longer provide a suitable income for the farmer. Moreover, greenhouse gas emissions and energy consumption have increased (contrary to government objectives). The intervention time in the field has also increased. JDISPO® tool has been used to verify the feasibility of some interventions. Mechanical weeding of straw cereals in spring proved difficult to achieve under good conditions. This study provides a glimpse of what the future might be and thus provides avenues for reflection on weed management and the use of alternative levers in a context that can become difficult.
