Résumé : Le réseau Euphresco ‘European phytosanitairy research coordination’ a vu le jour en 2006 grâce à un financement du programme cadre FP6 de l’Union européenne. En tant que projet ERA-NET, Euphresco a contribué à rapprocher les acteurs des différents pays européens afin de réduire la fragmentation existante des programmes de recherche nationaux. Euphresco a permis d’optimiser l’utilisation des ressources limitées allouées au secteur de la santé des végétaux et de favoriser les échanges et les collaborations pour pallier à la perte de connaissances et de savoir-faire. En 2014, au terme d’un deuxième financement européen, les membres d’Euphresco ont décidé de poursuivre leur coopération sous forme d’un réseau autonome à vocation internationale (au-delà des frontières européennes) qui permettra aux Pays membres de faire face aux nouveaux défis de la santé des végétaux.

Abstract : The network Euphresco 'European phytosanitairy research coordination' was initiated in 2006 with funding from the FP6 EU Framework Programme. As an ERA-NET action, Euphresco contributed to bringing together the main actors from different European countries in order to reduce the existing fragmentation of national research programs, to optimize the use of limited resources of the sector and to promote exchange and collaboration to face the loss of knowledge and expertise. In 2014, at the end of the second funded European ERA-NET programme , Euphresco members have agreed to continue their cooperation as an independent network having an international role (beyond European borders ) that will enable membercountries to face the new challenges of its phytosanitary sector.
